Nut Butter Grinder
  • Q
    31. Can I grind raw beans?
    A
    - Raw red beans or soy beans etc. are not suitable for direct grinding as they are hard and contain no oil or water. So, we will suggest steaming or soaking
    them in water before grinding.
  • Q
    32. Does pumpkin, sweet potato, taro, or potato need to be steamed prior to grinding?
    A
    - We only suggest the ingredients that don’t contain too much water; like steamed potatoes, sweet potatoes or taro are ground. We don’t recommend grinding anything with a very high water content.
  • Q
    33. Can I grind frozen berries?
    A
    - Frozen berries or fruit can’t be ground. They have to be defrosted first. Once defrosted thoroughly, you can grind berries, beans and fruit.
  • Q
    34. Why is the sesame paste coming out too thick?
    A
    - The main reason for a thick and slowly produced paste is that the sesame seeds are not roasted or cooked enough or evenly. This can be taken care of by roasting them longer prior to grinding. Try out some better quality roasted sesame seeds, and compare their oiliness and paste fluidity.
    - Please do not use the sesame seeds that are specifically used for making sesame powder. These types of seeds contain very little oil, so it will cause the temperature to go up during grinding which can wear down the grinder fast.
    - It is recommended that you use the high quality sesame seeds that are properly roasted or cooked and contain a good amount of oil.
  • Q
    35. Do sesame seeds, peanuts and other nuts need to be roasted before grinding?
    A
    - Roasted or cooked sesame, peanuts and other nuts will have the perfect flavor and oiliness that ensures smooth grinding in a low temperature.
    - Insufficiently or unevenly roasted nuts will make for a stiff paste with a bad flavour that gets ground in a high temperature.
    - Pumpkin seeds, almonds, sunflower seeds and flaxseeds, which contain very little oil should be mixed with the kind of nuts that have a higher oil concentration to make for a smooth grinding process.
    - It is highly suggested that you use commercially sold roasted, good quality nuts with a good amount of oil in them. We know great nuts suppliers in Taiwan that provide high quality nuts for an excellent price!
